Life is a funny thing. One minute you are down and at the end of your rope and the next minute you are happy and content. Yesterday was one of those happy and content days for my mother-in-law, Merta. Family came from far and wide to attend the annual Mother's Day events that the Anderson's are notorious for. Brian and Becky and family came from Texas, Brenda and Steve and family came from Colorado and Oklahoma and Amanda and the grandsons came from Colorado. Ray, Rachele and I came over from Orem.
It was a happy time as we met with Mom her future husband, Jack Hansen and of course to eat. Both Jack and Mom have lost their spouses recently but they feel that this union is right for them at this time. They are like two kids out of high school. We humans want and need companionship. It's a part of who we are, to be ........ loved!
Mom has known Jack her entire life and used to live across the street from him as a little girl. Jack kept telling me he knew me from somewhere. I started listing off places I had worked, Provo City, Regal Lanes, etc. He knew Dave Wright whose dad, Lynn owned Regal Lanes back in the day. It's funny how we continue to interact with people over and over throughout out lives. Jack still works at the gun range for Provo City and was a reserve for the Police dept. I am so happy for Mom and Jack.
